So, first things first, we need to have a contract so we're on the same page about the rules. 

Peter: You got rules? Come on, you really know how to zap the fun out of a situation.

 LJ: It's important to know where you stand on certain issues. 

우선 확실히 하자, 규칙에 대해 서로 동의할 수 있는 계약서를 써야 해.

무슨 규칙? 제대로 즐길 줄 모르는구나.

서로 입장이 어딘지 아는 게 중요해.

 

first things first = 중요한 걸 먼저 한다.

contract = 계약서

be on the same page about  = ~에 대해 의견이 일치하다, 동의하다, 서로 잘 이해하다

 

you really know how to  = ~는 정말 잘한다

zap = get rid of, 없애다, 제거하다

zap the fun out of it = 좋은 분위기를 깨다, 재미없는 일을 재미없게 만들다

 

stand on  = ~대해 ~한 입장이다, ~의견을 가지고 있다

 

For example, I don't want you to kiss me anymore.

 Peter: You crazy? Who's gonna believe that we're in a relationship if I'm not allowed to kiss you?

 LJ: You may be the James Dean of this kind of stuff but I've never had a boyfriend. 

예를 들어, 더 이상 키스는 그만했으면 좋겠어.

너 미쳤어? 내가 너한테 키스도 못하면 누가 우리가 사귄다고 믿겠어?

넌 이런 일에 James Dean처럼 선수일지도 모르지만 난 남자 친구 사귀어본 적 없거든.

LJ: This is non negotiable.

Peter: Fine. We need to figure something out because people are gonna get suspicious

if I'm not allowed to touch you.

이건 타협 불가야.

좋아. 스킨십을 할 수 없다면 사람들이 우릴 의심할 테니 다른 방법을 생각해봐야 해.

 

 figure something out  = (고민 끝에) 알아내다, 생각해내다

suspicious = 의심스러운, 의혹을 갖는, 수상쩍은
